Every step of the way he must answer to Minister Liu as his Assistant Economic Attaché assigned to cover the American Congress and glean information that will aid China both militarily and economically.

Allison and her partner Zahava are in Israel on a dig hoping to find artifacts from the time of King Solomon. As an article appears in the paper about Vanessa Boyd, Senate Committee Staffer relating that she was 35 at the time of her death, her modeling career and her job as a research analyst on the Senate Armed Services Committee. But, there is much more to Vanessa and what she hoped to gain from being on this committee. Anguilla is the place where this occurred and many were bought off, bribed or convinced to go along with the story that was created in order to hide the facts. But, Allison Boyd was smart, cunning and not to be underestimated as Jasper and Martin talk about the issues at hand. What happens if his wife finds out this time? What about his reelection? What about Martin’s wife Frances? Why does she go along with his story? What would happen if the story broke to Martin’s aspirations of becoming Chief Justice of the Supreme Court? One wrong choice! But, each time she gets close someone is out to make sure that she does not succeed. Threats are hurled, her apartment broken into and attacked by thugs, Allison does not give up. Heading an archeology project with an Israel partner, she puts everything on hold. The project is to uncover a town from the time of King Solomon. But, her goal as she says is to learn what happened to her sister and with Paul’s help she might succeed.

Asking to be allowed to book the same room as her sister would lead to the start of a possible cover up. As Allison learns about a CD that would ruin the career of one state Senator, leak what the Chinese have been doing and possibly ruin US and China relations both economically and militarily, one young man named Xiang risks it all to find the CD. Spying on Allison, attacking her but not succeeding, learning that she does not have the CD and trying to figure out where it might be consumed much of his time without success.

Although attacked and stalked Allison would not give up and with Paul’s help she just might succeed but what happens when she needs him to intervene with the Ambassador? Putting the pieces together, finding the missing CD and hearing what it says would change it all but will it be in time to stop what has already been set into motion?

A chance meeting and the truth behind her sister’s death are revealed but who will pay the ultimate price for this deception? As Liu once again summons Xiang and threats are hurled, will he complete the job he’s ordered to do or will he find a way out? But, Xiang’s past comes into his present and someone close to him that he has not seen for quite some time just might bring the wall down the great wall of China again but this time on him.
