Ellie’s Best Beach Vacation Ever: Marci and Elle Fair
With the freezing cold weather here and the snow piled up there is no place to go except in front of a warm fireplace. But, since I don’t have one and I really would like to be someplace warm with the hot sun beating down on my face, the air filled birds flying and warm sand under my feet, I decided that I would go along with Elle and Pudgy on their latest adventure to the beach. Since they invited me along I decided that this would be my best change to visit some fun places, see this amazing beach and travel along with my two favorite animal friends. Packing my suitcase while they packed there’s I waited patiently until our travel arrangements were made. Our destination finally in sight you won’t believe what I saw. It was beautiful but before we walked to the beach Ellie and Pudgy went through all of their beach toys to bring along on their journey. Check out the great photos of the brick path, the beautiful green trees and the boardwalk. I am so excited. Let my winter coat and boots home.
See the great sign that says: IT’s TIME TO PLAY! Check out the water it is so blue and the sand what’s white. I guess we can make sand castles. Ellie and Pudgy decided to go swimming and how great to see and meet their fish friends. After digging and swimming check out the great food we had for lunch on page 13. Really great and the photos will definitely make you want to go and get yourself a treat before coming along with us to the book store which of course is my favorite place too. Check out shelves filled with so many choices. Ellie and Pudgy are so cool and they made friends in the bookstore and found some great books to take home. We enjoyed biking on the boardwalk while exploring the beach town. Take the tour and look at the amazing photos of Ellie and Pudgy as the check out the fountain, the goldfish and places to have fun and climb. The most fun of course was the slide.
After resting the night before they got up and went to see the Butterfly Garden filled with my favorite butterflies and plants. I agree with Ellie I love the purple flowers the best. But, where are the butterflies? How can they not go back to the beach, while the rest of you are still freezing in the cold we decided to build more sand castles: Check out the end result on page 27. Amazing! There is so much more that they did on this trip like going to the ice cream shop, my other favorite place and wait until you see the great treats that are photographed on page 29 that they were able to choose from. Next, nothing like a swim in the pool followed by realizing it was almost time to go home. Page 34 is beautiful check out the sunset and find out what they might be up to next when you read this great book and check out the others in the series to get to know them from the first day they became best friends.
This was a great diversion for me. Sorry I had to go back to the cold and frosty winter with the snow that is about to fall but thanks to Marci and Ellie Fair I was able to join Elle and Pudgy on their fantastic vacation. Can’t wait to see what’s next and if maybe they will include Snoopy to go on their next adventure. For younger readers who can understand the storyline just from the pictures and to teach friendship, understanding differences and enjoying being with someone special. A story told in such a way that all young readers will want to take a notebook or several pieces of paper and create their own book or special adventures to share with family and friends. A great start off point for an experience chart with young readers in the early grades to great books or a class album of pictures of the student’s vacations, or favorite character they can bring to life or an adventure they would like to share. Ellie and Pudgy: What and where is next?
Since I can still make some of these because there is tons of snow outside and more to come: Let’s give this book: FIVE COLD SNOWBALLS
