In the Garden of Weeia

In The Garden of Weeia: Elle Boca

The choices you make are the ones that will follow you and the decisions you make as a result of these choices are yours and yours alone. Before making a decision or doing something that might cause you to get in trouble, harm yourself or others think about the consequences that you might have to endure before making the wrong decision. Ernie and his friends decide to turn on a ride in an amusement park and lives are lost and many are hurt. But, the problem is no one is willing to own up to the deed and Ernie takes the rap for it all.

Ernie Satuan is a Weeia with abilties most of us would love to have. He is great with technology and even better with gadgets but sometimes his judgments are off and his perception about people not quite on target as he learns when he puts his trust in some people that are supposed to be his friends. Ernie is accused of committing a crime that he did not commit and sent to the Marshal’s Academy to do grub duty for one year. Although it’s not so bad and he meets some really nice people he still manages to get into trouble. Ernie is smart and yet finds himself in the middle of a situation that he should never have gotten involved in and using his abilities he is going to have to decide how to deal with what he has learned about the marshals. Working and doing what he is assigned is great for a while but boredom sets in and Ernie needs to find a diversion that will keep him focused and interested. The Weeia marshals or cops are quite astute and trained with superhuman abilities that humans are not supposed to see or know about. So, breaking the rules is not smart but Ernie cannot help himself and meeting Amanda strikes a new chord with him as he never really found himself liking a girl or a girl liking him. Someone other than Ernie turned on the ride and the other three are skating since their parents are rich and not going to let their precious children do any time. But, Ernie is working with other students, professors and we can only hope that he won’t go astray but as you get to know him, finding out more about Amanda he finds himself at a crossroads and has to once again make a choice but this one might cost him more than the punishment he just received.

Talking with his friend Harry should have kept him on the straight and narrow and meeting Amanda focused. But, going to the library, realizing that something odd was going on regarding the garden and the statue that had him transfixed and thinking he had a link to the person the statue was made for, caused him to gravitate there and wonder why the gates were locked and blocked and what else was going on.
Some is out to win favor with the head of the academy and relates that Ernie is the one that broke through all of the locks in the Garden of Weeia and hopes that he will be expelled or more. But, when the weapon’s master meets him for some reason he takes a liking to Ernie and they team up to save the life of the Clan Master who has been locked away in a passage that no one knows about because someone is out for revenge. Friendships are tested and loyalties are created and one young Weeia named Ernie just might save the day if he uses all his knowledge about locks, technology and gadgets to figure out how to disarm what someone has put around the Clan Master’s neck and save his life. But, can he do it and stay calm?

As Amanda explains how she is learning how to block Henki powers, and Weeia abilities that the Marshalls are required to follow and why Ernie cannot use his while at the Academy, the author explains why this is a better method of taking down a suspect with no violence. Amanda goes on the explain even further about blocking other Henki powers using a countering physical energy. But, when Zoe decides to turn him in and claims he is the t that is breaking into the Founder’s Garden things begin to change and not how Zoe thinks. With the Weapon’s master on Ernie’s side and needing his help to hopefully save the Clan Master and finding out that someone close to him betrayed his trust and that of everyone at the Academy, Ernie has a decision to make. Should he help rescue the Clan Master even though he might not make it out? What about using his understanding of locks a and gadgets and more to help find him and get him out? What would you do if you came face to face with someone who had a bomb around his neck? How can Ernie defuse it? Just where did this person put the Clan Master and why? Revenge, hate, deceptions, betrayals and fear all come into play as once again author Elle Boca teaches young adults and teens the importance of making choices, understanding that you may suffer the consequences if your choices and decisions hurt you or others and learning that trust, loyalty and understanding might see you though. Just what does Ernie do? What will his fate be if he fails or decides to walk away and not help find the Clan Master? Find out what happens the next time you decide to visit: In the Garden of Weeia and learn about them, their powers visit the garden but ask permission first because you never know there might be a new lock and you won’t get in!
