Friends Forever: Ellie and Pudgy

Ellie’s Fun Day at the Farm: Marci and Elle Fair

Did you ever wonder where your food comes from? Would you like to see and learn more? Take a trip along with Ellie and Pudgy to a farm and meet the new friends and hear them tell you and our two favorite animal characters where many different foods that we love to eat comes from. They decided to learn how farmers care for their animals and how they grow the foods we eat. Exciting! Can’t wait to learn more!

They came to the farm and saw a really cool red tractor. So, Ellie and Pudgy took a ride in the tractor and sat in the driver’s seat. Then they saw a swing that looked like a horse and raced Tommy the turtle to see who would get there first. Can you guess? Next they met Spots the bunny bouncing along and he invited the two friends to hop over and meet the sheep. `Imagine meeting Fanny the Jersey cow who explains that she makes the milk they drink. How incredible is that! Elle and Pudgy walked to the lake and I am so excited they met ducks that love to drink water and were searching for food. They joined in the hunt and then they met Greg the goose and found a special surprise inside one of them. Want to know what they found you have to go along with them and see it for yourself. Goats were next on their list and they met Gabby the goat and then got to feed the baby goat on page 17 so cute. You won’t believe whom they rolled in the bud with and then what the Rooster wanted to know. Baby chicks and my favorite butterflies that they had not seen at the beach but found some painted in the farmer’s garden. Next they saw where the foods we eat are grown the tomatoes, the rhubarbs, lettuce and tons more. Check out the mouthwatering pictures and the other illustrations that bring the story to life and allow readers to join in the fun. Meet the donkey and the horses and then they decided to sun themselves on the beach. Check out the fantastic snacks and the authors created some fantastic activities for parents and teachers to do in order to remind readers of the amazing things they learned reading this book. Once again authors Marci and Elle Fair rise to the top of the star chart bringing parents, teachers, young children quality reading with a touch of fun, science, social studies, foods and where they come from and lots more. Ellie and Pudgy were your tour guides join them next time when these two friends who are so different yet the same will take you on another adventure. Friendship always!
