Image is everything to some people but what about when the one seen or heard by the public is false? What happens when what the world sees is really a facade created to hide the secrets, lies and fears you want to stay buried? Naomi Hendrix is a talk show host on a nightly radio show and does not realize as yet she’s being followed and inadvertently threatened. The manager of the station requested a security detail Ss Author matt coyly brings our outstanding private investigator, Rick Cahill in the picture.

As Cahill gets to know Naomi he realizes she’s not exactly who the public thinks she is and when entering the studio she hides her identity. Hired to guard her 24/7 their relationship is odd and Naomi seems bent on creating her own rules. Safety first yet learning about Pluto the stalker and reading his words gives readers the chills but Naomi seems to blow it off at first until claiming someone stole her gun from her car and later her registration. But security tapes show no one near ricks car or hers and things take on a more sinister turn as Ricks past becomes his present and a debt he owes is expected to be collected leaving him to provide a bodyguard for Naomi. But, meeting Miranda did not please her and Rick needing help from Moira changes the playing field. But, added in he had to ask his FBI contact for help with the surveillance tapes and things are really heating up .

The Russian mob is after a favor Rick and help from the police is not an option and Naomi is left with Miranda.

Peter stone is the target he’s to follow and an email address was sent to forward the findings but Rick was determined to learn more and the startling revelation leads him to a stem cell research company but why is Stone connected?

The radio show received a call from Pluto and it sent Rick on a rampage to get the link to the call, using reverse look up to learn where and who the number belonged to but Naomi fought him every step of the way by not allot he police to help. Her past blocked her judgment and in the end what is revealed will shock readers.

Things escalate in many directions as Rick and Moira continue to follow Stone, get more footage to view from 1350 and learn that the carhop is missing. Why is Alicia missing after complaining about a car parked in the lot too long and the owner ordered a coke but was not there when it was delivered? Asking to assist the detective on the case and give him information-received resistance. While Naomi was staying with Miranda but just how safe is she?

Strong characters yet Chip the program manager and Carl the shows producer out so many constraints on Rick would he ever find Pluto?

Cahill is torn between handling Naomi and the Russian mob as he learns the hidden secret behind the stem cell program and the harsh truth as he learns from a hooker named Audrey the facts and the connection to the mob. Did we learn bout Alicia s fate and where is Naomi?

When Rick realizes the gravity of the situation things spiral so out of control that more lives are in danger and he has to decide whether to compromise his moral ethics or deal with what needs to be done. The police have gone just so far to get those involved in the Russian Mob but his life is in danger is those blackmailing him and wanting him to follow Stone are not stopped.

How far would someone go for justice? How many rules would you break? Would you endanger others and would you compromise your moral ethics? When Rick Cahill decides to take action and the final reveal comes to light you the reader will have much pause for thought and you decide if he is right or wrong! Sometimes things do not always appear to be what they seem and sometimes a person has to do what they feel is right. Was what he did justice or was it something else?

The final showdown is not what you will expect and the end result is that someone close to him might be lost forever. What would you do to find justice for someone that didn’t deserve to die? What would you do to find justice for so many whose lives were changed because they were made to do something they did not want to do? What happens when the end result is that the light is shown, the flashlight is on and the end result is that so many were under the WRONG LIGHT! And the final outcome is darkness.
