Denny Clark and Frost Easton were friends until they were not. So, why did he call Frost within the last few minutes of his life? How did he wind up on this doorstep and what exactly killed him and why? Calling his favorite bartender, Virgil looking for his friend Chester, Denny knew things were about to get deadlier. The Roughing It was the name of the boat that Denny owned and where the parties with high priced clients were held. That Tuesday night many arrived at the boat and what followed was their certain deaths. Someone saw something that happened that night with the Mayor, the head and CEO or Zylex looking to expand their new site that was slated for San Francisco, Mr. Jin who catered the food, Denny Clark who owned the boat, Belinda Drake who was enlisted to create the party, make sure the arrangements were done and the high priced hookers were available. Fawn and her friend Naomi were there, and Naomi is dead, and Fawn was either pushed or thrown overboard and her body never found. Frost Easton is frustrated dealing with his Captain who wants the case closed and who said that they found the man who killed Denny and he’s dead too. Case closed. Then there is Trent Gorham a detective who seems to be playing both sides of the fence and is sharing information with Frost but is he really on his side or is he working for someone else. As Belinda and Frost meet and truths come out what she reveals will place her in danger and Lombard might be called to clean it up once more.
Frost is faced with many conflicts within himself and his department. Evidence points to corruption but who is guilty and whom can he trust? Hayden his captain and Cyril is immediate superior are working in tandem, and now they have included Frost in their private and select group relating what they know about Trent and Lombard. But, is Trent Lombard? Who is this ghost/ Frost immediately realizing that there’s a web of lies, deceits and betrayals but when the final nail in another coffin is closed and shut you won’t believe who’s next? No one is what they seem, and no one is who you think they are! Fights ensue, he is searching for Mr. Jin the man who catered the party for Denny’s clients in the Roughing It but where is he?
It started with a party aboard a board and there were many who attended and some if not all saw something that would be their individual demises. Someone would not allow any loose ends. Some will survive but what will it cost them? A figure turns up, another vanishes, and the elusive Lombard finds Frost. Frost vs. Lombard and Lombard vs Frost.
Belinda Drake is the catalyst and she set up the parties and makes sure that the clients are satisfied, fed and taken care of anyway they want or see fit. But some are dangerous, some require special needs. Hookers are sent to service these clients and Fawn and her sister are there but what happens to Fawn? Will either one live to see the light of freedom from the one person that seems to control it all?
Frost has come up against many worthy opponents, but it seems after being kicked, shot at, slugged, punched by several and even hit that he might have met his match. With Mr. Jin in the wind and his son, The Fox, escaping Frost even when they battle it out, Frost loses sight of him but just why does he get away and where is he staying and what is his true story?
The truths will be hidden and the web of murders that began with a police detective, then Denny followed by Chester his friend and his girlfriend Carla and many more to follow, turns into an intricate and delicate and well-planned scheme of taking out anyone that knows too much, and the key link are the snakes painted near the bodies.

With Herb as his mentor and someone who Frost trusts and can talk to and dealing with his own investigation and more can Frost let the case go? But Lombard is in control and Frost has been given an ultimatum and the final revelation lets readers know that there is much more to come, and their paths will cross again.
