Careful What you Wish For!
Clutter don’t you just love a closet that’s overstuffed. Hard to part with even one item no matter how many of the same things you own. Imagine having someone that can declutter your closets, your basements be even your garage? Would you hire this person?
Emily and her friend Becca started a company to do just that, but little did they know they’d get more than they bargained for when taking on their first two clients.
Mrs. . Murphy’s husband passed away and she wants to declutter her house and decide which if not all this thing she wants to donate, sell or discard. But a simple stratagem ticket would bring on secrets and deceptions that she claims to be unaware of. Charlie has a storage locker and inside well you must see it a reviewer’s smorgasbord of old books, maps and more worth quite a bit when Emily finally begins to learn more about the contents of the storage locker. Her husband, Frank is a lawyer and warns her not to talk to the police when strange things happen, and incidents fall into unusual places . Two new clients that allow her to focus on her business called Freeze – Frame Clutter Kickers. Her husband is a hoarder and the rule are you can only declutter your own stuff and space and nothing belonging to another person. Her basement, attic and garage are stacked with her husband’s stuff from garage sales, auctions and anything he comes across. Her marriage seems taut or tense at times and the more he hoards the distance between them widens. Frank at times is supportive and other times critical of her actions.
Meet Quinn her second client who has Frank’s partner call for immediate help with decluttering her garage. Quinn claims Wally her husband will not allow any of her things in the house. The house is a shrine to him but what about the art on the walls?
Mrs. Murphy did not know about the storage locker and Quinn send Emily have an odd conversation that will later come back in her face in a dangerous way: what would happen if your life was without your spouse? Would you off him and get away with it? Too much wine and fantasy might take Emily down a rocky road leading her into a dark and dangerous tunnel.
What happens next is chilling when Emily goes to get Frank coffee before coming home and someone purposely bumped into her , hits her car and dents it without her being aware and the same car was in a hit and run accident how?
When going to the storage locker she takes pictures and catalogs what’s there but wonders about the value of the old books and maps and other prints. But when Emily goes back to the storage locker who changed the padlock and locked her out?
Alerting Ruth Murphy and the realizing that Charlie might have stolen some of what was stored for monetary reasons, did his wife know?
Things get really tense when Quinn tells Emily that Wally never came home and is missing but someone alerted the police and here is where some fancy footwork comes into place. Frank warns both Quinn and Emily not to talk with the police, but both do not adhere to his warnings. Quinn’s husband’s car was missing and then found and both women are questioned by the police but Emily seems to be the most likely suspect since her car was the one involved in the hit and run accident and supposedly Wally was the man in the coffee shop that bumped into her spilling coffee all over her.
As things progress and Emily, a Becca and Mrs. Murphy and Lila , Emily’s mother joins the cast, they enter the locker and a shocking revelation comes about. Things appeared to be out of place and some missing and her documentation of the locker and pictures verify her account. But the police are bent on arresting her when Wally’s body is found wrapped in a rug in the locker. Added in other things are found in her car which the police impound for a few days, takes apart her house , a warrant issued from this point on Emily’s life would never be the same.
Do you ever really know a person and what she uncovers about the man who bumped into her in the coffee shop leads her on a path to try and solve Wally’s murder but let’s hope she lives before the killer takes her out.
Wally was supposed to be at an auction but was he really there? An auction bidder card where it did not belong. An area rug rolled up and lying in a puddle of water. Boxes of vintage hardware. Two people with access to the lot. Inner Peace Storage has the answers, but would Emily survive what she learns?
A video would be a startling revelation and deceptions, lies and betrayals the answers. Detective Stanley just wanted to end the case and make an arrest but for some reason he allowed Emily to speculate and ask questions that would point him in new directions. Frank seemed concerned about her and Quinn only wanted her attention and her mother makes some revelations about the items in the locker and Emily realizes there is no one to trust and something odd happens and the author throws us a serious twist, curve and the electrifying ending and the dramatic conclusion will shock readers and Emily to face a serious harsh reality.
Just who was committing fraud? Who was guilty of the murder? What happens when the police play an account of her conversation with Quinn?
When Emily questions the barista at the Java Connection you won’t believe what she learns but will anyone believe her and will she honor what she promises Ana?
A tape that was incriminating but was Emily really the person driving the car and re-entering-the locker?
Cameras set up by her in order to see if anyone enters the locker without her knowledge. At the locker more than a single box of padlocks were missing why?
As the pieces fit together and the truths come out Emily will realize she was blindsided and deceived.
An ending that will make her choose sides. An ending that will either make her stronger or destroy her forever. Credibility is at stake as the truth behind what is in the locker and what and where things need to be returned comes out. Sometimes you want things to be perfect but sometimes you might be being set up to take the fall. When you think about what Emily hoped for and thought was if value remember careful what you wish for! It might come true!
