I really need this today

The journey of life presents its own challenges for each person. Events that occur in your daily life often impact the way you react to others sometimes in a positive while at times in a negative way. Quotes can inspire and each one has its own meanings and everyone interprets them differently. Imagine a book with no chapters, no characters or dramatic situations and yet the 365 quotes in this anthology of inspirational ones tells their own special story as author Hoda Kotb with Jane Lorenzini takes each one of us on their special trip from beginning to end as you the reader and me read this book and reflecting on each quote will interpret them in our own special way. Imagine a book that will make you smile, bring tears of joy and hope as I spotlight the ones that I will hold dear, give you my thoughts and that of the author as I realize that this book is what I really needed this day!

As it says in the summary done quotes are penned by a favorite writer,some bring laughter and others love. Writing this book sharing the 365 quotes the author shares her experiences, people and challenges and how they embrace change and explore relationships.

January 9th the author quotes: when you look into your mother’s eyes you know that is the purest love you can find on earth.Mitch Album: telling how she called her mom at the same time every day and her reaction to seeming her in television is priceless. Talking about adopting her two precious daughters and the rest you need to read so heartfelt.

Every morning was special when my mom was still here and I would see her before going to school and her blue eyes would show tge love she had for myself and my sister. Miss them both.

January 12: actually you are good enough. I truly believe that as she says tell yourself, tell someone, spread the word. I look in the mirror every morning and I tell my your loud you are wonderful, you are good enough, This is Me!

January 16: there are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real. This quote hit me the hardest because I often wish my sister was still here and we could run, dance and just act silly together.

March7: the day my mom passed

Because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing: Dr. Seuss

The author describes her runs in Central Park and New York City has a way of making you feel small but in the park she felt connected. I hope she states that you find time to soak up one of your favorite places today. Wouldn’t that be great to take a day off and go just that.

March22:imperfection is fine: Anna Wintour: she has that down but my mom believed in total perfection all the time. I guess in her mind no flaws allowed. Hard to live up to at times.

April 10: sometimes music is the only medicine the heart and soul need. Reflecting on the death of her father and how she and her brother sat in front of a record player for hours listening to James Taylor songs over and over again. Soothing and comforting we listened to music and remembered the fun we had with my dad in Coney Island making records and having fun.

May 14: happiness is the best makeup to emphasize your inner beauty and outer glow: Debasish Mridha. Read her thoughts on page 143.

June18: this quote is truly inspirational: rules for happiness: something to do,

Someone to love,

Something to hope for: Immanuel Kant.

Reflecting on how simple it is to be happy. Each one she says is doable and I truly agree.

June21: my father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me. Jim Valvano

My dad was my champion and always encouraged me to be my best and said I never disappointed him. He believed I would rise to every challenge and I did my best to do just that. The author shares her thoughts and why her dad’s support was priceless. Read the rest on page 181.

July7 is really compelling: it’s your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you. Rumi

Her words are so simple yet profound: make your plan , walk your walk, and link arms with the people who will make your journey mire fun. So true! There are so many quotes that will make you smile and each one of us can interpret them in our own way: in seeking happiness for others, you will find it in yourself. August 14

Sometimes you have to stop being scared and go for it. Either it will work or it won’t. That’s life’. Finally, December 31: tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one. A new start and a new year . Read her thoughts and get yourself a daily planner and find some quotes and writing your own thoughts you too can create a fabulous book of wonderful quotes to make people and yourself smile:hope, love and hugs and happiness and after you read all of the quotes and create some of your own or find some for your own book , create a board and put them on Instagram or do what did did create a board for inspirational quotes to share on Pinterest and then say out loud like I did: I really need this today and add everyday. Filled with 365 days of hope, joy, happiness and so much more the simplest things like quotes can have a positive impact on your life. Told in the author’s voice and her thoughts and reflections imparted in a clear and concise manner this is a great book for book clubs to talk about the quotes , families to discuss what theses quotes mean and even write their own in a family book of special quotes.
