AFTERSHOCK: MUST READ

imageThree lives that will intertwine once more as the Pendulum might be gone but his minions still exist. John Wallace, Christina Ash and Patrick Bailey will join forces to take down a group so far reaching, so powerful in every law enforcement field, every business blackmail, fraud, money laundering and murder are just part of the structure of the group called the Foundation. They are everywhere as Agent Christina Ash and her team join forces with another team hoping to take down a primary suspect. But her strategy was on point but her intel was not as she was given information by her informant that would destroy her reputation, take lives on both sides leaving her in a vulnerable position as she learns more about the set-up, is relieved of her position until something inside of her snaps and she won’t stop until she takes down the Foundation but at what cost?

Getting to know and her Christina’s voice you realize that she has become dispassionate, hard, unfeeling and although her team had man casualties, she did not contact those that remained, nor did she feel anything for those that are gone. Stating that it is the person’s fault for being careless she takes no blame for her actions and her boss although he wanted to put her on leave for some reason allows her to work the case.

We get to know Cheyenne and Paige who are befriended by Beth and Arno but little do they know that they are at the heart of the Foundation and when a FBI agent or someone claiming to be one wants to find them after an incident happens while Paige was with Beth, the end result will shock readers as they become victims to the Foundation’s wrath.

Things take on many different turns as Bailey is freed by his friends Danny, Salamander and  Frank taken to a hiding place in order to reconnoiter and plan their way to find out who tried to kill him and Melissa. Finding their way in the streets they are hoodwinked by some homeless people who tried to fleece them of their weapons and money but between Bailey and Danny the tables were turned, these people lied about what they claimed or did not claim to see and a young street girl sent them hopefully on the right path.

While Christina is questioned, relieved of her position and made to take leave thinking all the while of how she might take down Calvin Perry the last member of the Foundation but her anger, her fierceness get in the way and once again she is blindsided and taken in by those that she wants to take down. Can she find the list that Smokie had of the members of the Foundation? Will they kill her if she finds it? Her anger gets in her way and the result has yet to be seen.

Then Bailey and his three friends learn some information about the white van, and he contacts someone from M15 that he feels might help him find the people from the Foundation that did this to him and Melissa. Mayfield is dead and that might get him time if caught yet he deserved what he got. Hearing him talk with the M15 head man, then learning how he might help him sends him on a quest for justice.

Arno and Beth now have Christina, but will she survive another time under the power of these people?
Ash is powered by different things as she has a GPS in her shoulder and within her arms and legs metal and steel chips that are hiding weapons that she uses to escape her captures but on the run thinking she is safe she does not realize that her rescuer is part of the Foundation. But her anger takes over, she deals with the cop pretending to safe her, and then Pavel and Wallace come to her aid as they find her through her GPS.

Bailey and Danny are now hunting down someone related to the van, namely the driver and find his family but what happens when he tries to find Gareth and what about Andy his brother? Things take on many different turns and Tyrese and Krill face off in the prison and the killer becomes the killed as the author takes us deep inside the prison walls learning just how corrupt the system is, how a deadly killer can get access to a gun, kill another prisoner and escape without anyone realizing he is gone.

Things take on many different turns as Arno, Beth and Calvin the man hired to take care of them plus Rafa who claims to want to take a larger part in the Foundation, learns just what kind of power Arno claims to have, the fact that he wants to regain Ash as part of his fold, and just who she is in relation to him will surprise readers if you did not know this before. Arno is dangerous and we learn his true identity and Ash might be the key to getting the master list of all of the members of the Foundation but first Reeves another detective working with her has to be brought to him in order to lure her into his path.

Things begin to blend as Ash, Wallace, Salamander, Frank, Bailey and their team join forces plus Danny to try and stop what her father has set into place. We learn the identity of Arno and that of Beth and the shocking revelations about what he does in order to prove that he has some divine power. As the team’s merge and they try to find out where the list of the Foundation might be, both sides have their own strategies, but losses are heavy, one Detective is turned but in the end is he really part of the other side? Lives are lost, tragedy strikes and at the core is Ash who is wanted on both sides and whose father wants her back in his fold. With Wallace at her side, Danny and Salamander adding in a Korean criminal, they go up against Beth, Arno and Mayfield the man Bailey was accused of killing in prison each side fighting to find out where the list is. One hoping to destroy the Foundation and the other hoping to make it more powerful as the author takes us on a dangerous ride, battles fought, lives lost and the hope of saving the world from what these people have created but will they succeed?

Allegiances are tested as Ash must form her own veil of trust and how to take down the Foundation, her father and those that took the life if someone she grew to respect. With Salamander and Danny on her team, Steve Byrne giving Wallace a possible heads up and where the list might brand which file, he would give them, things take on a rapid change as both sides vie for victory. Arno and Beth have no morals or loyalties as those close to them will learn. Failure leads to death and there’s no redemption as Arno claims to have the power to give or take life and tries to make those around him see the light. As Ash reflects on her childhood, her mother’s death and how her father forced her to remain in the compound forcing her to reflect on whether she was as cold hearted. Lives are on the edge; the list might be within her grasp, but Danny and Salamander face off with theses killers and more lives are at stake.

The final showdown would text Ash’s morals, values and loyalties quick decisions were made, lives hang in the balance and facing her father would change the course of her life and someone else forever. Her father thought he was the divine and Seer had her own mode of fooling the world. Would she take down the Foundation? Where was the list and what will the final fate be when power, control, mind altering, mind control and greed are the ultimate goals of a group set out the rule the world in a deceptive and cruel way. An ending that is explosive, thought provoking and filled with tension, shots flying and one man whose decision would determine the final fate of more than one other as the scenes that follow would create something more devastating and damaging than an earthquake rated 10 on the Richter scale causing a final and powerful Aftershock.
