Love Perfected: A.M. Myst
Internet dating can bring different results. Sometimes you might meet people that are genuine and credible but other times you never know whether the profile that the person created on this site is true. Predators looking to prey on young men, women or even teens can create a profile including a picture that is not really who they are making a chance meeting or any meeting dangerous. Caitlin has a blind date with someone that she had arranged to meet in a public place which is where anyone should meet a total stranger. But, waiting way past the time he was to have their alerted her that he was standing her up. Not wanting to spend the night at home and the evening being conducive to walking and watching people while sitting outside and having a drink, she finds herself at another place and is faced with deciding. Should she accept the offer to join this handsome young man and have a drink or should she wait until a table is free? A quick and snap judgment leads her to what could possibly be a great relationship and they spend hours sharing information about their lives but protecting personal information as where they reside and their numbers. At the end of the evening she takes his number telling him she would prefer to contact him if she is still interested which she is and does call him a few days later. The relationship seems to take off and she shares her excitement with her best friend Jessica who seems happy yet not happy for her. Why?
Things progress in a quick fashion but something about Drew at times brings up red flags. Planning evenings with famous bands, taking her away to Paris without asking if she likes to fly and other events it seems that he’s trying to please her yet control her actions.
Her friends tried to warn her that Drew might be too perfect after taking her to Paris, wining and dining her thinking she should still date others. But, a night out at a bar, a man named Curtis comes on to her and then disappears with her friend Claire, what exactly did he put in her drink that made her wind up in the hospital. Jessica somehow finds Drew’s number and he rushes to her bedside in the hospital.
The odd thing is that Curtis left with another one of her friends did he drug her too. Shouldn’t they be concerned about her and where she winds up that night?
The scene in the hospital is revealing as Drew and Jessica face off on who will care for Caitlin after being drugged. Why would she want to go out and not rest? Independent and self-reliant it’s hard for her to give up some of it and let another person care for her. Added in Curtis lied about where he worked, and the police have no clues as to his whereabouts. By time they went to the bar all the glasses were cleaned and the evidence gone. Everyone needs to never leave a drink unattended and you do discard it for another one.
The relationship seems to soar, but will her friends remain close too?
Hidden secrets and lies come out as Drew and Caitlyn’s relationship blossoms but for some reason he wanted to test the waters. A business trip to Austrasia brought fear and anxiety in her life as she was afraid that he would not come back, would not hear from him and both were so wrapped in each other that they could hardly see anyone else. Then the unthinkable happens and a phone call changes it all as Drew was mugged and severely injured and in a hospital in Australia. Receiving the call and then his driver, Templeton calling to say he would take her to the airport, Caitlyn was inconsolable and worried she would not get there in time.
The hospital staff and the doctor greeted her, but it seemed the nurses were sizing her up as Drew was a prime catch even though most of them were taken. To their disappointment he only had eyes for her. Tensions rise and she hopes he’s okay but not until he is discharged, and she is caring for his bruises, broken arms and cracked ribs in the hotel room, does she seem to calm down. Sometimes you get lucky and at other times you do not know what your fate will be.
The facts about the mugging will shock readers and the reason why she was stood up even more. Just who was Curtis? Who drugged her and what was the real reason for the trip to Australia comes out when she finds papers, quizzes and that Drew had in order to create himself as MR. PERFECT for her? But will she understand what he did? Truths can often hurt, and the deceptions might tear away the trust but, in the end, will Drew explain his intentions and how he knew from the start that she would turn up just where he was. How did he know her likes and dislikes?
