Evil is all around us and a plot that would take down the Western world was hiding in plain sight. Juan Cabrillo, aka the Chairman, and his team interrupted an attack on a Kuwaiti oil tanker. But, what and who was behind it would take down more than just the men on the tanker. The last will and testament of a dying billionaire who was dangerous and sadistic in his final wishes allowed and created a paralyzing chemical making sure it ended up in the hands of a group of terrorists having to carry out his final wishes. With the men on the New Oregon he is bent on finding where this toxic poison came from as Mark Murphy one of his crew members fell victim to the poison rendering him paralyzed possibly forever. There is nothing that can cure this and finding an antidote is the only solution, but this man is not the only one attacked by this deadly poison. Juan and his team take cases no one else can solve or handle and the team just connect an ancient mystery with a an enemy so deadly to hopefully save millions of lives but will he be able  to find an antidote before it is too late?

 Flashing back, he and his crew receive a distress call from a search ship and what they find when they board it will shock you. The crew on this ship each one helpless and cannot move or speak. Imagine their fear. But this is just the start of more attacks that leave hundreds of people in the same condition.

A man has a vendetta against the Australian government and a dangerous lethal nerve gas has been unleashed and thousands of people have been the object of this gas and are paralyzed. If they do not get an antidote within a certain time frame it is permanent. Behind it is a man named Lu Yang who from his grave via a video he relates his message to his step daughter and her husband as to what his mission for them is in order to employ the experimental plasma weapon to unleash even more. The Marauder is the trimaran named for this weapon stolen from the Americans. April Jin’s stepfather has a sadistic plan that involved this lethal gas and blaming what happened before and in the future on the Australian military and government. April Jin and Angus Polk are enlisted by the late Lu Yang with several probably created and timed video messages, from this one time employer, Chinese industrialist with a mission that would raise the world power vision of China and take down the Australian hoping that China would dispose of the US as a primary world power. If enough people are paralyzed he states in his final message, and Jin and Polk using their experimental plasma weapon and unleashing this paralyzing gas taking over Australia, the Chinese government has at the ready enough caregivers to take care of all of these people and the money alone would be powerful. If they succeed their worth would be more than anyone could ever spend or earn in ten lifetimes if they succeed they could go back to prison or be destitute.

Juan and his team are organized, have plans and their goal was to take down Polk and Jin and in order to do that they had to infiltrate their ships, take down their crews but will they get it done in time before the fireworks on New Year’s Eve which is when they intended to launch the lethal gas and take out millions of people. If they succeed China would be the world’s greatest power if they do not you do not want to think about it.

As they found their way to the ship that Jin was on they learned a lot from her about the account, the money , password to get the money if the attack succeeds. The secret if the lethal gas was revealed but will they be able convince everyone that the Australian military did not fund it? Murph’s life and mobility are stake and before all was said and done even more were afflicted by the lethal gas and are paralyzed. But will they get the antidote and just where it this ingredient?
Imagine learning that the answers to the mystery stem from a Roman soldier’s long-lost testimony and the events mirror what is happening in the present. But the enemy is ruthless, and the win would be millions and the take down would destroy a nation.

A plot so well crafted, characters so intertwined and whose abilities far surpass any with Juan, the Chairman at the helm the authors created a plot that would fill the silver screen with a five-star rating. The final scenes are tense, Sylvia, Eric and Linc find themselves at the mercy of Polk and wind up getting shot with the lethal gas, but you won’t believe Sylvia and her determination to take care of the man and whose sister took away something from Mark. Coordination, planning, determination and strong skills in combat, weaponry and one medical team lead by Julia that is first rate, the authors created a tension, action filled ending that will keep you guessing, holding your breath and praying that the enemy goes overboard before the attack is finalized.
