The Madness of Q
A single document holds the key to the history of two parts of the Bible: Matthew and Luke but before we learn more something tragic happens that sets the tone for the events to follow. A professor is trying to do some work on 17 delicate documents four of which he encrypted and the others keeping safe. But these four were delicate and the nature of what they would reveal would change the complexion of religion. The knock on the door and allowing a man dressed as an Archbishop into his room, since the guardians did not question him, would prove fatal as he explains his work, talks about his find and the meaning of what he discovered. He decrypted four of the parchments, Professor Zurbaran never saw it coming. He would never be able to present his findings. This document would shed the light on the final four fragments, the Q as it is called, the source, tells him that like Judaism, Hinduism, and all the faiths of our species =Gods message was accomplished in collaboration of men, ordinary and extraordinary, doing the work of their Lod and Savior. The document named the Quell, German for the source, became known a we learn more about it as the Q Document. This document set off suicides, massacres and homicidal extremists as the author takes each one of us to the massacres and we witness how these deaths occurred.
The killer in this novel is working for the Vatican and the result is this fragment of this document called the Q is part of the course document for the Christian gospel. This fragment proves deadly and is setting believers to kill themselves and nonbelievers are after the one-man Sam Teagarden that the FBI seems bent on having find the answer. He is the only survivor of a failed US government and Israeli operation where he finds himself with the car, cash and things he is not trained to use as a trained spy. He is forced to go to Israel with guards all around him, but things never quite turn out as expected. Death threats follow him, and he is the prime target for some reason.
This is an intricate plot that will take Sam from New York to Israel, Rome and Berlin and encountering many agents that claim they were sent to protect him when the deceptions were many and blindsiding him quite often. Meeting Agent Bernard Klassen started him on his journey but there was one man named Elad, a dangerous assassin and killer that would not only take out many of the agents, putting Klassen in the hospital and then sending Sam along with new protection but nothing could stop what would happen in the long run. All
the protection was gone, and he had to fend for himself but not before escaping through a narrow passage to get away from Elad. Underlying it all is the truth about the Q document, the veracity of it and the meaning of each of the 17 fragments. Would they really cause a massacre? Would looking them cause these religious fanatics to commit suicide?
But, Sam gets captured by some involved with Freedom from God or FFG and you have carefully deciphered and figure out who is on his side, who is pretending to be CIA or FBI and how he was going to manage to complete his task without getting killed.
Sam receives the Q document, and the author shares the meanings of all the fragments in Chapter 34. Wherever he travels and what hotel he is in or even on a ship somehow someone knows where he is, and he is in constant danger. Even the porter on the ship that translated the document finds himself victim to these dangerous killers that do not want Sam or anyone else to bring the meaning and the contents to light to the public. Meeting many agents and finding himself held at their mercy Sam has to think more than on his feet and when thinking he can trust someone, he winds up drugged and almost killed. Why did the Vatican have a go to cleaner who killed Professor Zurbaran and was after Sam. Those that know what he learned about the QU Doc want him dead. The Dr. on ship is not who he appears to be. Things get more dangerous when we get to know Gretta Wharron who he thought was there to protect him.
The documents or remnants found under the church of Megiddo are they truly from the Q Document? This is supposedly the long missing source of Luke and Matthew. Added in we also might learn what this verification signifies. However, this finding and the truths behind it might cause great spiritual and intellectual burdens for so many. What caused the deaths of these people and the massacres? What he learned and the truth about the document will shock you and that information is classified. Lies, betrayals, deceptions, and one man named Sam Teagarden that is at the center of it all. Added in Sam has imaginary conversations with his wife. We all sometimes like to talk things out and the conversations help to keep him centered. There is an agent that was protecting her, there was supposed to be people with him, but the death toll rises, and his entanglements increase as author Gary Basnight takes us deep inside the Vatican, explaining why they want him dead and the final ending will shock readers as a truth comes out, but which is it and what are we to believe? Chapter 55 will enlighten you as Sam speaks and enlighten everyone include POTUS as to the truths behind the document. Characters and events that could be ripped right out of the headlines, dangers that are real, double crosses you will not see coming and at the end will Sam survive? A political and highly charged murder and plot and poor Sam at times fails in his actions, tons of blunders and yet you cheer him on. A math professor, smart, astute and resourceful is chosen to find the secret and the truth about this document. But it is more than just that it created madness, deaths and no wonder the author calls it THE MADNESS OF Q.
