In the words of the author: These truths may open your eyes to realize that our lives might be different today if certain people had made better decisions and faced the truth. Using the Alpha team was a great way to have these events brought to light.
Other events that caused sorrow and horrific results are: The Failure to Stop the Challenger Launch, Failure to Assassinate Hitler. Just think about the millions of people that would not have been sent to concentration camps and worse. There was a lack of intelligence on Hitler. Not reading newspapers, Not checking Hitter’s departure plans, not realizing security was lax. What about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory? Management greed and lack of oversight. Guilty and responsible were the two owners. Garment workers organized in a chaotic and tight-fitting group. No fire drills were ever conducted. No emergency instructions to workers. Deplorable working conditions and more. The research is there although the book is listed as fiction after you read it and learn more about these events and how they could have been avoided you decide Fact or Fiction.

Let them do some research about each of the blunders and maybe they will uncover other facts. Bu, what about this pandemic we are still facing after so much time? Could that have been avoided if some eyes would have been focused on the problems in the news? Is this another blunder? Which one do you think is the most horrific? What red flags did you the reader realize when reading each of these events in the past that might have changed history in the present if someone was paying closer attention? How does communicating or lack of it, interagency cooperation and more play into what happened in the past? What events in the present do you think need more focus? Read Shocking Mistakes That Altered History by Charles Toftoy and you decided if these events could have been avoided and how.
These blunders form shadows and cast a black veil over us for the future. Have we inherited these shadows formed by the past blunders? Who is responsible for filling the graves, of indispensable and respectable people? What about what happened to cause slavery or the sinking of ships or what is related about the buffalo? Read this fact filled book and find out. The author keeps us turning pages from start to finish to learn about the events, the ways they could have been avoided and to decide for ourselves IS THIS A BLUNDER HOW COULD THIS EVENT HAVE BEEN AVOIDED AND WHO IS RESPONSBILE?
