The Lost Girl:

Fate can take away your spirit to live and your drive to succeed when intervening in a negative way. Amy Robert’s was a successful lawyer with a prestigious firm and a budding career until it was all taken away in the blink of an eye. Melissa’s father is the head of a medical firm that deals with genetic testing and creating a way for parents to have children of the sex they want and higher intelligence. Dealing with a man named Angelo Lira powerful, Brandon and Christine Ellis have no idea what they will be up against when deciding to let them help finance their company and their goals with Life Screen. Not realizing that they were giving away most of their profits and their company to this man little did they know that while they were worrying about their first IPO that the nanny was allowing Melissa to get close to Amy and that she would disappear.

Amy remembers the day of the family’s deaths and when she  connects with Melissa she reminds herself that she and Dan had frozen sperm at a fertility clinic and calling there starts a chain of events you won’t believe. A fire at the facility in one room and just what happened to her sperm and who got it making her think that Melissa was her own child and what she does next will take her on  a roller coaster ride that might take it all away if she is caught. Taking Melissa away from her Nanny and knowing she has been abused by her mother, justifies her actions but Mickey Keller the Fixed working for Lira is on the case but does he believe what she told him?

Desperation leads to doing something that might change her life as Mickey Keller finds Amy and Melissa and grabs the child causing her to need ER care. The injuries are serious but not deadly, however, the fear within Amy for what she has done leads her to realize she is going to need help. Loren her sister-in-law now knows what she has done, and the contact must be secure. Her brother is faced with an ethical decision and Amy has become proficient at lying not realizing that Mickey is on her tail and what Christine Ellis has demanded might just end it all.

Lives are at stake and the truth about Melissa’s parentage has yet to be revealed as author Alan Jacobson keeps the energy level rising, the tensions strong and the unexpected coming at every turn.
The nurses and doctors believe that Amy is the child’s mother and even claiming she lost her wallet they all seem to rally around her hoping that her daughter is okay and yet Melissa feels safer with her. What will happen if she is returned to the Eliis’s?

With the police and the FBI on the case and Amy warned to be on the move will she take a chance and get Melissa out of the ER before she is stable and able to travel? Knowing that Loren is her sister-in-law the FBI is now after her for information and hoping that she is not involved. Losing her career and more plus she and Amy might see jail time how will this play out in the end?

Family loyalties, the safety of a young child, the will to break the rules and morals and ethics come into play when dealing with her own values, Loren Ryder has the decision of a life to make. Keller is stuck in a difficult situation which side will he take? Amy took Melissa is she her daughter? The FBI is on the case, Loren is questioned will they believe her story? What about the Ellis’s and those that are running the fertility lab? The ending is tense, the truths revealed but where will Amy and Melissa wind up and just how far can they hide and run?

Mickey Keller is a formidable adversary and Loren, and Zach are a perfect match for him to go up against but what will happen to all three at the end? Lives, morals, values, child abuse is a major issue, cover ups, greed, power and the life of a child hangs in the balance as author Alan Jacobson takes us on a roller coaster ride that is at warp speed, fast paced. Child abuse is serious and yet no one reported her parents for neglect and abuse. Money is at the root of this novel and power hoping to make millions from an IPO that is coming and the fact that genetic engineering to create children that parents want with higher intelligence and profiting from this at the expense of those that want their services, LifeScreen profits, stocks, and powerful people behind it but eventually who wins at the end?

 Amy and Melissa are both trying to find a place in this world and in each other’s lives lost because her family was killed, afraid because of parents that needed her for profit and nothing more will they ever find the LOST GIRL? Where will Keller wind up and what about Loren?
