A tanker disappears with deadly and toxic material on it. The people manning if have no way to stop what happens when a huge storm hits, and the tanker falls off the face of the earth. This was in 2017 and now in the present this tanker will play a huge part when something horrific happens at a high school and the deaths of seven students is attributed to the poison that was stored in this tanker. Robert Brixton is meeting with his boss to talk about the parentage of his daughter or the young woman he thinks is his daughter does not know that his grandson is at the capital with school friends and witnesses the death of his friend’s brother and saves the life of his friend. But what he sees right before hot shooting could place him in danger as she thinks he saw a second shooter. Coming off her shift  as part of the force at the capitol. Kelly Loftus works for the Capitol USCP’s department of Protective Services. This was the first time her adrenaline kicked in as there was a shooting at the Capitol. Ben McDonald and students from Gilman High School were at the Capitol Building in a trip. Uniforms and tours about to be in place when he thought he heard fireworks, but he watched his twin brother shot and the shooter killing his twin. Kelly tried to gain control over the situation and saw innocent victims killed. Code Red in clear and shooter down but what happens next draws her into the action and once again one incident will change her life. A woman was on a park bench and her words struck: I know why he did it! Questioning her she begins to realize she knew the shooter and the woman might have said more but Kelly had to have onlookers move along and the woman was gone when she returned all but the contents of her bag which spilled onto the street.

Mac Smith called Robert Brixton to determine whether Alexandria was his real daughter. Speaking with her they bonded and yet there was something that frightened her. Working for the CDC what could that be ? Kelly retrieved the items from the women’s bag and replayed her words: I could have stopped it. Who was this person and now Kelly was determined to learn more? Brixton found his grandson who saw what happened and was shaken up having saved his friend’s life. The shooter knew how to make sure he sound reaches the steps of the Capitol not drawing attention to his assault rifle. Working for SITQUAL and now as a lawyer he had the connections needed . On a piece of paper, she found among the woman’s belongings was a paper with serrated edges torn and she created a way to uncover what it says but she needed help.

Robert and Max talk and he tells him he saw a second shooter. Kelly uncovers this message: failed to heed my warnings no matter how much I tried to. Let’s link this to 2017 and the Red Dog drop but first Kelly finds a hospital bracelet and with the help of Xavier Peel they uncover who the shooter was and the name of the mystery woman.

Dr. Efrem Lutayne I behind what happened in 2017 and reveals the secret of how it might have sunk into a sink hole and then a man named Panama takes Efrem and we learn the harsh realities.

realizes that soothed recovered what was lost from the past and what else accounts for the deaths of the students from the Baltimore High School. No trace of the shipment had ever been found. The fear that the contents of the Red Dog was gone but hardly lost was uppermost in his mind. This military transport was on his mind as it was on a secret run to dispose of its deadly contents but where is it? As we learn more about his greenhouse and the poisonous plants hidden there and the project he calls White Death.

Deacon Frank and his congregation are rallying about what he plans to do. Just why will do many dwarfs happen and how is it related to White Death? Reverend Frank is dangerous, and Senator Birch is his pawn you might say as he knows where the poison originated, shows us the video of the shooter but will they realize who saw the Senator? There are four perspectives as to how the students were poisoned, how Alexandra was poisoned, her co-worker and where it might have originated.

Brixton and Mac speculated that it came from the school and speaking to the victim’s parents only yielded what they saved and memories of their children. Daniel, the son of the Deacon listens to his father tell him about his past, what his father did to him, the reasons for his temper and abuse and then he reveals a startling confession. Added in the Deacon speculates where the White Death might be as does Dr. Efrem learn from Panama where the shipment might be, sending divers back down under the water and then back to Baltimore where it all started.

Just how did the students get poisoned? What is the Senator’s role? Why do we learn he might have been the target but escaped the shooter and the poison? White Death is at the heart of this novel and author Jon Land takes us deep inside the world of corruption, greed, power and defiance as Robert Brixton and Kelly Loftus and Panama face off with a deadly killer.
