Starry Eyed Love

Starry Eyed Love

Sometimes a simple encounter can change the course of two lives. One just wanted to be out of the space of the other while one wanted to make his presence known. Months later they would become part of an alliance that would change the dynamics of her business and partnership with his company in order to promote programs that enrich our environment Going Green was her contact and link and when Holt Media called her to discuss an event at event hotel Spark House, her world would change and she would begin a business relationship that would cause her to question many aspects of her life.

London gets a call for Holt Media a large company that would like to connect with small firms like hers and other companies doing business in an ecological way. London is the person that handles the business end and finances of the small inn that she and her two sisters, Avery and Harley run. Meeting with the representatives of the company, she does not expect the CEO, Jackson Holt to attend the meeting and fire questions at her. London is organized, has her notes but he throws her off guard and for some reason she realizes that he looks familiar but why? When she does it starts her on a spiral path that will take her to many places, handling different projects and then having to create a charity event as a kickoff for their business relationship. But, although she is organized, well prepared Jackson wants a say in everything that is being done for the event including the media part which her sister Avery usually handles and creating the event which Harley does. Things get wild and they begin spending time together and Jackson shows up at rare times, takes her to events that she does not have in her schedule and you might say upends her entire life, working together is one thing but her feelings for him have to be put off as they are working in a professional relationship and her sisters are all for him but Avery is now stressed from planning her wedding and things take many difficult turns.

As we get to know Jackson we realize that he is someone that likes to control situations and has devised a way to incorporate his schedule into London’s. Taking her to an estate sale, extravagant lunches and then taking her by private plane to New York for a meeting. The whirlwind relationship although for business takes London in many emotional directions and although she is an outstanding speaker and can handle meetings with important clients, Jackson always interjects his thoughts, questions and suggestions being it’s  company that is taking Spark House to become part of his network.

Tensions rise at one point; questions are hard to answer, and both explain the tragedies in their pasts as London understands why this charity auction that she has been asked to handle at Spark House has special meanings to Jackson.

London is swept to New York and has no idea that she’s about to have dinner with a hotel mogul and CEO of a media company. Trent is the CEO and Griffin the mogul and each one finds London interesting and the conversation centers around their businesses but then questions about Spark House, her goals and her Etsy store that I wish was real. Plus, they’re interactions are as if they are interviewing her for a job or place within another company. But the chemistry is there but will they do anything about it. Working relationship or more ? Jackson has his goals and at times when his voice is heard we hear the gears moving as he plans his movements and strategies to gain her trust and more.

Relationships sometimes have boundaries and Jackson’s London must set theirs is they are going to work together on the charity event and partner with Teamology.

The event is gearing up and Selene arrives, and the conversation is distant, and London is not sure of Selene’s relationship with Jackson plus she changes the way the auction items were placed on display. Jackson arrives and suddenly Selene is sent back to New York and London and her sisters are more than successful. The event yielded over one million dollars and now Trent and Mitchell will handle Spark House and Jackson explains how things will change between them. Each chapter reflects on the innermost thoughts of both London and Jackson giving readers an inside take on what they think. Where will this go?

An overheard conversation at an event takes London by storm as she hears the wires spoken and her heart feels like it’s caving in. Has Jackson been playing with her affections? Why was this conversation she overheard so devastating? Where will the company be if he pulls his support? But a shocking revelation might change it all and a surprise visit will enlighten London, but will she accept what is said?

Characters that are unique and learning about his company and how the rich do business interesting. The events I’d love to attend and the outcome you’ll have to learn for yourself. The stars play a special part in both her life, his thoughts and her Etsy store.

Tempers flare, sisters face off, jealousies are paramount and it’s all about acceptance, being first and understanding the other’s point of view. But Avery only hears her side, London and Harley are tired of her protests and only me needs as the confrontation takes in different slants. Will they mend fences?

Family discord, open conversations and an ending that leaves us wondering if the family will still be together as a unit? Will Avery be more open minded, and will London finally be free and have time for her Etsy Store? Some endings are beginnings and some wait to be seen as author Helena Hunting takes us deep inside the corporate world, relationships that are fragile and the fun of learning the value of the meaning of Starry-Eyed Love.
