Deus Ex

Deus Ex: Miles Watson

Creating a world filled with grandeur and opulence was how this dictator spent money, riches, and more. Order to rule the world in a way that would befit to rule the world. As we unveil the mystery behind how Magnus and his empire are crumbling we come to realize that he’s immersed in an unexpected event or the downfall of his empire hoping to save a hopeless situation.

As he demands that certain fleets be commissioned, fighter pilots and more the commanders try to tell him things are not exactly as he wishes. Orders barked out and explanations were given but it’s as if he hears only the solutions he expects and he denies within his mind and fears the realities.

Hearing the thoughts of this dictator, his reasoning for his decisions and the tragic death of Julia makes you wonder where if anywhere, or to anyone his loyalties lie. The castle is going to come under fire, and he enlists Sabino he trusted to sacrifice his life for the cause. The enemy has been waiting and troops will be deployed to take the palace. The scene will be filled he hopes with politicians and more. Imagine 3000 secret police to reinforce the Vigilants. He designed a plan that will cost lives and single out one man to remain in one Castle and wait for the end to come. No regard for life just a plan that she thinks will take the lives of the enemies by triggering a bomb. He alluded to Kranjec, and his wrath is wide. Why agree?

As the dictator relates information about his friend Yaro and his tragic death, he seeks revenge on those responsible. Death is negligible to him, and his brand of Justice is justified in his mind. First Boradis and then demands Kranjec and the interaction between them are both chilling, graphic, and the most of revenge created by author Miles Watson required ingenuity, creativity, and sheer uniqueness. You take the flights with Magnus and hear his rationale and thoughts as he received what he believed is a note written by Yaro and it reads: if your side is losing one of their choices; surrender is complete defeat, compromise half defeat, and escape not defeat. Which of you think he chooses and how will he carry it out?

Throughout the novel the author allows readers to understand and experience the punishments, the deaths and the rationale behind the dictator’s thinking. He often sounds convinced that he’s a God and that he must rule. Explaining how he created his castle and why and then when it is destroyed and where he is now because of the Falcon’s crashing he believes that he can take the civilization where he now might live and turn them into his willing subjects and a civilization that will comply with his every wish.

An ending that is open-ended and a man filled with delusions as her relates what he thinks will come next. Listen to his thoughts, visualize the sequence of events and decide if he wins. A powerful story about struggling for leadership, self-esteem, and self-worth as Magnus justifies his goals and actions by coming introducing a situation suddenly and unexpectedly and creating a contrived solution to insoluble and insolvable solutions. This gives you the reader to decide where Magnus thinks he’s going buy at the end you think he will succeed?

Imagine the dictators in the world today and how they overpower the people of their country. The opulence of their homes, the troops that fight and might be sacrificed and realize that what Miles Has created could happen at any time and any period. Magnus could be the symbol of a tyrant or any dictator past present or future. Like anyone who has survived living in uncharted land or waters, Magnus will now have to face the same on his own. Is there more to his story?
