My Missing Wife: D.J. Palmer
Creating a false situation hoping to believe what you think is the truth sets the stage for a psychological thriller of the most frightening magnitude. Imagine planning a vacation in New York, checking into your hotel, and deciding to take a quick run for a family pizza dinner. This one act would impact the life of Michael Hart forever.
Told in two timelines we hear Micheal’s voice and visualize his actions and how frantic he is to find his family. Each character in the past and present relates his/her take on the events that surround Natalie’s disappearance. In the present, she received a note unsigned from someone claiming to have been or still is involved with Michael. But is it a false note from someone who he rebuffed? Natalie assumes it’s real and decides on a plan to find out. A client of the gym comes into her life from work and her plan takes off.
Natalie found a way to confirm her fears about Audrey and Michael while in the present she seemed dazed at times due to her lack of sleep. Visual hallucinations, paranoia, and disorientation were signs of insomnia and more. Added in the police would not put out an amber alert and driving a long distance might not be the right idea.
These words ring out in her mind: Today I got us packed and ready to go
I’m grateful for the truth. I wish I’d done it sooner “
Then we hear Michael as he makes excuses for his needs and wants and infidelity. But when the person dares to tread on thin ice and wants to tell or confront his wife threats are made and you won’t believe what he says and does.
Seeing Natalie’s parents puts him in a vulnerable position but her father might be able to get the police to help. With fear and uncertainties, you wonder who the real Michael is like his past floods into his mind? What happened to Audrey? Within his mind, he reflects on his version and Natalie states that he can be violent. Who is telling the truth?
Each side creates their isolated version: Natalie has changed their appearances and Michael has found his way and a fake threat takes it one step further.
In the past Natalie and Audrey come into sight and fear enters what did she see?
Micheal connects with a detective and both speak about their issues.
Author DJ Palmer takes us dero inside the minds of each character as we hear their innermost thoughts and fears plus how to handle the present situation.
Natalie Tina and an investigator delve deep into Michael’s past and sends a massive shock wave. Natalie admits to finding Audrey’s body and Sarah learns that Michael had more than one affair. A headline in a paper and a photo will turn her world upside down. Who is the real Michael Hart?
