Never Less

Never Less

Friendships and trust are created in many ways as Pablo and Mindy meet from different parts of the world, different heritages and form an unbreakable friendship over time. Pablo is not a great student but excels in many other ways as Mindy is smart in her own right and both will become involved in saving the lives of both of their dads. Her dad seems to be addicted to opioids and his dad might risk being deported. While meeting a man named Peter King both teens form a bond with this man and when Peter and Pablo’s dad enter the Prohibition Tunnel that leads to the mill, and being warned by people that this place is dangerous, they never think that they will witness a murder as it happens, Pablo trying to save the murder victim and Mindy late for her mother’s pick up and both families will intertwine in different ways as her mother works in the OP shop and Mindy is asked to help placing books on the book shelf that need sorting. Things change when Pablo, his father and Peter go on out on Peter’s boat witness the murder.

Mindy realizes that her father is addicted to pills and that many people are dying from overdoes but as a doctor he tries to save so many but the last a young man named Troy did not make it. Events get complicated when Pablo’s dad is arrested, he goes to Peter’s house and then Mindy is involved and things get totally out of control when Pablo goes to stay with her at her house, Peter insists on calling his detective friend and then Mindy and her dad are arrested but why? Author Geoffrey Wells thought her dad explains more about the crisis, the poison added to the drugs, people dying on the same night and the definition of Chippers. They are people addicted to painkillers or opioids or heroin to get high and then they take an antidote pill they call it maintenance drugs which stops them going from going too far, so they can repeat it all over again.

As the two families intertwine and both fathers’ are arrested and hers in the hospital, it becomes apparent that the pills her father had with him might be linked to those of the men arrested for selling the drugs. Bad pills, antidote pill that is laced with poison and so many dying just how will they get to the bottom of it and why is CPS being called in for Mindy? What about her mother and how does she stand up to the police and Peter and Pablo’s mom are caught in the middle. Plus, why does Pablo suggest that they run Peter’s farm, form a partnership but how will this end in the long run with both father’s one in jail, one guarded by an arresting officer in the hospital?
A story about family, friendship, trust, honor, opioid addiction, faith, hope and love. A friendship between two teens that started in school and built to much more as each one comes to the aid of the other unconditionally.

How can two teens save their fathers in two different ways. When Peter asks that Pablo’s family work his farm and live with him, why does he disappear, how does he wind up on a huge ship and will he be able to contract Mindy or anyone for help[?
As he gets kidnapped by a man that winds up taking him to where the head of the drug cartel is when he learns the identity he is shocked and just what this will do to his friendship with Mindy might take a new slant. As the police arrest one father and another takes another path, both Mindy and her mom plus Pablo and his mom are flown to Bermuda, must work with her police as Pablo is smart, resourceful and manages to take photos that are needed, and Mindy manages to get a wallet that changes it all.

Detective Clem is there going to person and with the FBI and other law enforcement they are trying to take down the cartel, rid the area and town of the bad pills and fentanyl that has been flooding the area so why would someone want to take the drug users off the streets or even do worse if they are providing them with millions of dollars in sales?

Opioids are seriously being sold and used as you read this review and understand the author’s research and reason for bringing this issue to light. Doctors prescribe them for pain and yet you wonder if they are prescribed too freely. What happens at the end when the video game that Pablo and his mother brilliantly created helps solve the problem and used for contacting others, as two teens must decide whether they will remain friends when Pablo must make a hard choice that will forever change the dynamics of his friend’s life.

A story about the opioid crisis, a story about addiction, a story about getting roots for Pablo and his family and a story about two teens that gave a man reason to live, hope and feel part of a family again. When the ending is told you know that these two will be on the case to help solve something else as author Geoffrey Wells created two teens that won’t give up, won’t stop and will never say never until the case is solved. Told in two distinct voices as both Mindy and Pablo explain their motives and strategies for solving adult problems using creative and ingenious teen minds.

Teens and adults will understand the gravity of this crisis, relate to both teens, understand their differences and dynamics and realize that true friendships grow in many ways and will always be stronger NEVER LESS
