The Urban Boys: Discovery of the five senses
The power of hearing, seeing, smell, taste and touch are T the forefront of this powerful world created by author K.N. Smith. Five friends Jordan, Alex, Chase, Kinsu and Mark are exposed to a powerful substance called nectar which enhances and created more powerful or strength to their five senses. Nectar is the life source of the Naculeans which gives them the energy they need to survive and live. But this race or the Naculeans decided to share and spread the power of this precious nectar in order that it would survive and endure through time. The power of good vs evil . But how was this spread and how did it get passed on to the five boys?
The nectar was powerful and the boys had gone into the preserve and that’s where it all began . The Naculeans had a mission to be fulfilled and it is chosen. They had to empower others he must be stopped. The Dark Stranger was there and told his mission as he followed the boys but learned from the Naculeans that the nectar is their life source and they must live to empower and have peace. Truth must be stopped! Druth’s senses were welling and he stared at the boys. Tingling sensations swirled across his body causing him to notice something dark and then light. But Druth sent his gang after the boys and the encounter with them was amazing. Each of their senses was heightened: as Chase said he got a weird sensation in his arm before it happened and Alex had bruises on his neck and Jordan said weird things happened since the assault by the deranged individuals.
Going to the prologue we remember the death of Ross from 30 years before and it is being investigated in the present. Plus Jordan wanted the files about his mother’s death.
Nightfall in Danville Heights: five friends lay awake sensing each other why and how? Alex with a strong sense of taste. Chase sensitive hands. Jordan could hear an altercation unfolding with strong hearing sense. Kinsu had his vision sharpened and Rhee hunted for scents as the Dark Stranger watched whose dual role of watching the boys while also watching over vulnerable citizens.
Then the identity of the Dark Stranger is revealed and his link to the prologue and Joaquin and Ross and the deadly fight as the author lets us know the real identity of Druth.
The Dark Stranger explains to the boys their 2 objectives: they need to align their powers as if they are one person and second: their ground energy is here: command it but there is much more.
Next, we hear Druth say: people are the problem and only those essential to his desires will survive. Mason, Jordan’s brother finds himself in a quandary will he tell and reveal all?
The force is a light ball growing more violent each day under the gloomy skies of Sandy Lake. The boys reaffirm their intentions and use their collective powers for saving the world before Druth takes it all away. If he wins and the nectar finds him he’ll destroy all of humanity through their senses. Will he win?
Who is Mrs. Perkins and what are her powers? What happens when the Dark Stranger brings someone else into the group? How does this change things and what happens when their parents learn the truth about what they are doing and why? How will they learn who they are and how they got there? The final scenes are filled with twists, shocking revelations, and strong memories plus the fight of their life. Will the newly created Urban Boys win? What happens to Druth? Is he gone or will he return as author K.N. Smith leaves readers wondering what’s next?
