Here’s to your dreams

Here’s to Your Dreams

Believing in yourself and never giving up, Noah learns some valuable life lessons as a simple toast sparks her and her daddy on adventures. “Just believe in yourself, and you will go far.” As the toast ended she finds herself whirling and twirling through space would you believe in a zoo and petted a panda, then sang a song in front of fans next Noah looked down and was holding a bat. Can you imagine hitting a home run and then they were magically transported to a beach her father asked her: what’s your favorite dream would you say?

Thinking about it she said: what do I love the most? Her dream is to be a captain of a ship but how would Noah accomplish that? The illustrations created by Arief Putra bring the characters and settings to life and author David Hollis created a story that encourages children and even adults to believe in themselves and that anything can happen. Read what Noah says and why and see how she tries to build her ship. The author does show that it does not come easy to create and build a sailboat. They searched for one, then rain, and she decided to build it herself. She couldn’t wait for one to appear and what about a shipbuilder? Her efforts were not exactly successful but without obstacles how would she learn not to give up? The sails did not work but failed attempts do not define her, said her dad. So true if only other kids and adults would understand that. Wait until you see what happens and join them on their first voyage. When danger strikes and the ship might sink wait until you see the ingenuity of Noah. Watch what happens and find out if they finally sail and she captains her ship as author David Hollis creates a heartwarming, unique ending that teaches kids and adults that if you believe in yourself, your dreams just might come true. Here’s to your dreams. What are yours? Children can explore their interests and thoughts, teachers can encourage students never to give up. Self-esteem-self growth and bravery and courage are valuable life lessons.
