Our Hidden Past Revealed

Message from A Hidden Past: Jos Rogiers

The world according the humans is perceived in many different ways. But, imagine learning about her past, present and future from a noted historian whose expertise is beyond that of any one on earth today or even in the past. How did the gods come into being? Where do we learn the history of man and of other beings? What would happen if you were placed in a deep sleep for over 3000 years only to awaken to a world that lacks luster you might say? One filled with decay, destruction, dust, dirt and people living their lives in what might be called a stupor or just going through the motions. One such person, a dwarf, whose name shall not be revealed by me or the author of this intriguing book, was chosen to volunteer for this great mission. What exactly was he being asked to do? To find out and relate to everyone where the god came from, the history of humanity, enlightening everyone about both the golden and bronze ages and finding himself when he awakens in the Iron Age. You are about to take a trip back in time and meet our special dwarf of tour guide as he leads you through the many different periods or ages of man. Homo supersapiens: what are they and what mark have they left on the world and history? Just why was he chosen to make sure that since humans will be the masters of the world who will make sure the “History of the Era of the Gods,” is actually told? When all of the dwarfs gather and the King speaks we learn that only one dwarf, the best historian, will take on this special job.

Waking up he realizes he is in the Iron Age, humans are now considered the rulers of the earth and it is his job to shed light on the past. The Iron Age upon him and knowing that the Golden Age will reemerge, we begin with a description of what the world looked like when he came out of his deep sleep. A dusky cave is his home, the world filled with gray structures and noises coming out, lights and movements that frightened him leading him to go back into his cave. But, first in order to live there he cleaned out the cave and made it habitable. Next, in order to learn more about the past and the present he had to find sources of information. In this case he learned much about the library and the library system hoping to complete his research discreetly within the walls of the library in this ugly town.

The gods were not supernatural beings or even what some might call ET’s. They were hominids and looked like humans. But, the gods as we learn in this chapter titled Homo Supersapiens, belonged to a higher species of hominids. As the dwarf continues we learn much about the Great War, the end of the Bronze Age and the fact that humans did not really understand the “true and superior nature of the gods.” The author elaborates on the origins of Homo supersapiens, presents a chart relating the different periods in history and their relationship to the gods and enlightens readers with how these beings looked in Chapter Four. Explaining the job or station of the dwarf as blue-collar workers, the clothing, style, fashion and why homo supersapiens lived very long. As a matter of fact he explains why they lived much longer than humans and the diets they adhered to which helped in gaining longevity. Next he explains why there were fascinated by the stars, a tour of the Land of the Gods, which was located in a remote and isolated corner in the northwest of Africa. The descriptions are vivid, the scenes are quite breathtaking and the many different names will keep you reading until you learn all of the origins of the Land of Gods: Ker. Ker had many names related to the Greeks. He continues with the dwarf explaining that they were loyal friends and servants of the gods and not slaves. On pages 45-47 you can see the picture of Ker, the Sunken Land of the Gods to get a better grasp on what the dwarf is telling us. Next we learn more about the Capital of Ker. The poor dwarf was sleeping soundly in his cave but felt that something was there. BATS! He describes his impressions and then he hoped that he would not wind up in the human world. Describing the capital of Ker, the principal city of the Land of the Gods the dwarf relates this to Plato who with his help and technical specifications he states aided in helping him draw or sketch the capital. Throughout chapter 7 we learn more about Ker and the final stages of his tour of the Land of the Gods. To learn more you need to take the tour along with the dwarf. There are many texts used, Bible references and a very compelling way of presenting the history of a race of humans that might have really existed.

Leading into Chapter * where we learn more about the Golden Age, Homo supersapiens, errors made and why the gods did not want to enter into any kind of long-lasting relationships with humans. Humans lived during the Golden Age on Earth in limited numbers. Some were wanderers and others hunters or gatherers. Describing how they lived provided for their families and the many questions the gods faced will enlighten the reader into more history involving a group he refers to as Barbar. Next we learn about the Neolithic Revolution and family histories of humans and little if any about the dwarf who admits to not being married, why he did not have children and why things sometimes work out not always the way we want them too. The author and our dwarf tells us about Atlantis, things that he started to do, just like humans, smoking which of course if bad for you and living in an ugly town breathing the bad air is even worse. We learn about the Emperor’s own kingdom, Emperor Arthur and Britannia.

Each chapter is replete with history, references about different time periods and the main character’s take and explanation adding a special twist and creating interest in what is being presented. Describing the Atlantis and the lost civilization, the strait of Gibraltar, the misconceptions about the gods, and the chapter that really captured my interest The Amazons or the Land of the Women. The history of these women, how they became warriors and how they fought is graphically described in detail by the author. Finally, he discusses how the Greeks conquered Atlantis, the battle of Troy, the connections to many different parts of history present and the past, the fact that gods are not immortal. He even includes Buddha, reincarnation, Doomsday, how a comet collides into the Earth, which the dwarf describes in detail as if it is happening right now. You can picture the events in your mind and see what is happening first hand as the author and the dwarf take readers back in time. So, how do the Homo supersapiens disappear and the humans take over as the dwarf sits, smokes his pipe wonders what became of the gods who survived the world war and the Great Catastrophe. But, if I give everything away the dwarf will become enraged and you won’t learn the answer to this yourself.

The final chapter tells of the Return of the Gods, and a new Golden Age beginning when the Iron Age ends. At this time the souls of the gods would reincarnate, they would rule over the planet Earth and dwarfs just might return. The rest you have is revealed as you read more about the stories based on prophesy of the three fate goddess, the many folktales of the time, Persian texts called Frashegird, and the dwarfs final remarks as is research into the subject of and reports about the Era of Gods is finally completed and what he says and his final thoughts you need to learn for yourself. One thing I can tell you is that the Greeks did not speak about the New Golden Age, the Romans were well informed about it. And as the dwarf states: his mission is accomplished and so is mine. Review completed and hopefully the dwarf’s account of these events and his book will please the king when he arrives in the hereafter. The extensive research is recorded by author Jos Rogiers in the end notes and this novel will definitely give readers much pause for thought about the past and the history of humans. This is one book that everyone should read and will make a great basis for discussion groups and for college history students.
