Do you ever really know a person? Can you have one perspective of this person and underneath there is someone you hardly know. Julia Fairchild has been given an invitation to spend time with Josh Larson in Paris but what happens as a result might change her mind about this man and reveal underlying secrets that she might wish she never uncovered. With her sister Carly along for the trip, they both anticipate a great vacation, but you know murder never sleeps, odd things always happen, and Julia will find herself embroiled a situation that will shock her when the facts are revealed.

Meeting Josh and hoping to spend some quality time with him she attends an event meting Roger, .Alain, Pierre and Clint. Roger is one of his partners , Alain owns a series of jewelry stores in the Caribbean. Manufacturing and warehousing were how Clint made his money. Julia and Carly attended classes at Le Cordon Bleu and Josh asked them to create treats for an event. Their instructor, Francesca brought stuffed mushrooms and here is where it gets interesting and dangerous.

Then why is Roger in Josh’s bathroom and when Julia goes in to use it she finds him in the floor and the action begins but something does not ring true as Josh takes care of getting to the hospital but the scenes at the hospital will let you know that there is something sinister behind why he got sick and what is the reason he kept saying mushrooms?

Josh and Roger focus on software and business finance. Added in when he does not make it, Josh us more concerned about his job, his position and the deal that might fall through. Secret meetings, phone calls and little time spent with Julia, until she becomes involved in figuring out what really happened to Roger. She is certainly in a real pickle or dilemma as Julia must decide how to proceed whether Josh us accused of what happened to Roger and yet he does not really care about clearly his name so why does Julia take it on herself?

With the hotel security looking at the footage bin Roger’s room and housekeeping checking who might have reported the trashing they still can’t find Roger’s case and was he hiding something. Corporate finance is at the head, Alain’s dealings might be suspicions, and everything is not what it seems. The hotel staff is quite upset. What exactly is anyone hiding and are his partners guilty? Roger was looking into some new business opportunities for Pierre,  and he would get a commotion is he was able to assign a contract with anyone them on belief of clients. These would be huge mega buck deals. Hotel security did not have any useful information about other key cards used to get into Roger’s room. They did suggest that he could have let someone in, but they are ruling it as an accidental death. But who this is  not done yet? Meeting Roger’s wife opened other avenues and Julia’s method of questioning had to stem from the precise way she would assess a new patient asking intake questions. Things get tense when Roger’s briefcase shows up and what they find inside just make Josh a prime suspect. Is someone planting information and then what about Francesca? When Julia gets her number from one of the other girls in the class at the culinary school, the result is this person is not done and Francesca is the next victim but why?
Finding the thumb drive in an odd place and then hoping that they would learn more they realize that they recognized it a proprietary software belonging to Alpha Bamma Security. What exactly was that supposed to mean? MQAYBE The three other partners wanted d to a build and create their own security software and then market it themselves. could they operate on the premise heat someone else was involved and what about Kate and Becca? Then going to Detective Durand, they present him with the information they learn about the software program and wanted to know if he could dust it for fingerprints. Roger’s briefcase and his thumb rive are company property when would the police give it to Josh? Why was Francesca said to have poisoned herself? The letters in the briefcase turned out to be love letters from Roger to Francesca. Dark clouds hang over Julia, Josh and Carly as one will be in danger. Julia gets taken by those that conspired against Roger but when truths, lies, deceptions and power struggles are come to the top of the forefront you won’t believe who was behind it all and why. Done endings create doubt and speculation as to where situations will go while others bring a surprise and lives will go in different directions. Where will Julia be next? What friendships will remain and how will she deal with the truth told to her at the end?

Characters that are unique unto themselves and at times distant and not making the connections you hope would eventually happen, what happens when you visit Paris some call the city of love?
